“I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor-Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you].” John 16:7 AMP
When Jesus walked this earth he was physically with His disciples, but when He ascended into heaven He sent the Holy Spirit, not just to be with us, but to live in us and that’s a whole different dynamic! We can be filled with Him, closer than a friend, my Helper who is always there enabling me to follow Jesus! His power working through my life will produce good fruit as I fellowship with Him! Lord, fill me anew today that I would be alert to Your life-giving presence, growing in my knowledge of You and becoming more like You, Amen 🙏🏼
