“This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Luke 22:19 AMP
At the last supper Jesus gave His disciples a really simple way of appreciating for the rest of their lives what He was about to do! We call it communion, remembering His body broken for us and His blood shed for us that we might go free, washed clean, made holy. God’s promise sealed! I have such a tendency to forget or to take for granted, but communion reminds me in a real way that Jesus died for me and as I eat the bread and drink the grape juice I realise anew the reality of Christ in me, the hope of glory. Let’s go celebrate this Easter weekend 😊
