Train me // 06-02-19

“Train me in good common sense; I’m thoroughly committed to living your way. Before I learned to answer you, I wandered all over the place, but now I’m in step with your Word. You are good, and the source of good; train me in your goodness… My troubles turned out all for the best— they forced me to learn from your textbook.” Psalm‬ ‭119:65-68 & 71 MSG‬‬

God wants to train us up, to disciple us to be like Him so that we will be prepared, equipped and available for His good purposes, and He will use any and every situation we encounter to do just that, if we let Him, especially the difficult ones! We all to often ask God ‘Why?’ when troubles hit, and rarely find a satisfactory answer. Better questions tho are, ‘What do you want to teach me through this, Lord?’ And, ‘How am I going to be changed and moved, Lord, as I hold on to You?’ That curious, trusting and willing spirit will grow my faith and lead me to the good, pleasing and perfect plans that God has for my life! Let’s always keep Jesus in our sights 🙏🏼
