“So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest. So then, as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone, and especially to those who belong to our family in the faith.” Galatians 6:9-10 GNT
‘Do gooders’ is a term, often used in a derogatory way to describe Christians! As if doing good is seen as a bad thing! That’s why it’s hard work to do good and why it can be a tiring way to live, because criticism will come, people will misconstrue your motives at times, others may even take advantage, but what’s the alternative? Not caring? Just looking after your own interests? We need to get this right if we are going to see the fruit of changed lives, and that’s why church (home) is such a great place to practice doing good. Here you are more likely to find the encouragement you need and others who will treat you with the same goodness that you treat them! Lord, help me to do good today, for Your glory 🙏🏼
