“Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display, Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].” Luke 17:20-21 AMPC
When we pray, ‘Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,’ we are not asking for God to send something to us, to do something outside of us. Rather, it is a cry for Him to do something in us and through us! We are praying for His rule and reign (The kingship of Jesus) to be evident in our lives and together through His Church! As we spend time with Him and learn from Him, and become more like Him and do the same things as Him, that’s how we will see His Kingdom expanding on the earth! Lord, help me to step aside that You might reign in me, and that I might fulfil Your good, pleasing and perfect will. Amen 🙏🏼
