It’s not that God won’t be with us if we don’t do these things, Jesus promised to never leave us! But there is something about shifting my focus from myself to encouraging others, and changing my mindset from what I can be upset about to what I can be thankful for, that produces joy, grows me in faith and enables me to appreciate the closeness of God’s presence with me, to hear His voice, know His leading and to actually live in His love and peace that keeps me stable and faithful!
