“But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.” Jude 1:20-21 NLT
There is something so reassuring about those four words, ‘safe in God’s love.’ It’s a message that this lost, confused and desperate world needs to hear so much, that God is merciful, that His love is unfailing, that we matter to Him and He has made a way back home through Jesus. So many people I know just don’t feel safe or loved, but we get to change that! We get to bring that message of hope and it comes alive in us as we make it our business to build each other up in faith and pray! Last night a number of local churches came together at Kingfisher Tredworth to worship, to pray for each other and to pray for our city! What an encouragement!! What a way to start 2020 building each other up, reminded that we are not alone but are safe in God’s love, called to play a part in His salvation plan and to make a difference in eternity! Tonight, we gather again at Elim church Gloucester, 7.30pm, it would be amazing for you to be there too 🙏🏼
