“And Joseph’s master took him and put him in the prison, a place where the state prisoners were confined; so he was there in the prison. But the Lord was with Joseph, and showed him mercy and loving-kindness and gave him favour in the sight of the warden of the prison.” Genesis 39:20-21 AMPC
Through no fault of his own, Joseph found himself confined and isolated, and I’m sure he was praying like mad to be released, but that was not to be for then! However, God was still with him, and even in that place of affliction he was shown mercy, loving-kindness and favour! I wonder what that looked like? Lord, thank You for Your presence with us even in unexpected and unwelcome circumstances. Give us eyes to see how You are working during this time of our confinement, and may our hearts be receptive to Your mercy, loving-kindness and favour. Amen 😊❤️
