“Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.” John 15:4-5 NLT
During this time of social distancing and lock down it’s easy to feel isolated and cut off from people. Staying connected to the community of church, the body of Christ, when we can’t physically meet together to worship and pray and encourage each other is certainly a challenge, but it’s not impossible! I can still be fruitful as I spend time with Jesus, He is with me right now! I can open my Bible and meditate on His word, I can play some worship music and join in, and I can pick up the phone to someone, message someone, video call someone, share what God is saying to me or offer to pray for them. If each one of us is intentional in connecting with one other person to encourage them then today is going to be a fruitful day! Lord Jesus, put someone on my mind who needs that call today. Amen 🙏🏼
