So long as we are entertaining the promise of deeper truth and wisdom, debating his lies, or exploring his accusations, the devil will not flee! He wants to engage us in dialogue, to rile us with doubts, entice us with things that play to our selfish desires, and accuse us with words and ideas to illicit shame, guilt and fear. His objective is to blind us from truth and to separate us from knowing God, prowling around like a roaring lion seeking to devour us, to steal, kill and destroy us! The only way to see him flee is when we humble ourselves before God, listen to what God says, believe His Word, and keep our eyes and thoughts focused on Him! When we are submitted to Jesus, The Truth, Satan has no authority over us, and he will be the one running scared when we resist him!! Lord, help me to stand firm this week in my relationship with You, and may I know real freedom as I humble myself under Your mighty hand. Amen 🙌🏼😊
