“Jesus said to him, ‘Away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.” ’”Matthew 4:10 NIVUK
Satan is a title that means accuser or adversary, one who obstructs and opposes, and we certainly have an enemy who fits that description, on a mission to stop us pursuing God and His perfect will for our lives! Jesus shows us very clearly how to deal with the devil when he comes with his accusations, temptations, and deceit…..don’t listen to him, do not entertain his lies! Instead of taking you out, use them as an alert to worship the Lord and to keep serving Him. This is spiritual warfare, not to focus on Satan, but to fix our eyes more on Jesus, not to shout at the devil, but to lift our hearts and our voices louder in praise of our Saviour! It is not easy when the fiery darts come, but Lord, help me to lift up the shield of faith and wield the Sword of the Spirit in those moments of attack, to fasten Your truth around me, to protect my mind and my heart knowing I am already saved and right in Your sight, and to stand secure in Your peace, knowing I am held in Your love. Thank You for the victory I always have in Christ. Amen 🙌🏼😊❤️
