Let God be magnified // 25-11-20

“May all those who seek You [as life’s first priority] rejoice and be glad in You; May those who love Your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified!” But I am afflicted and needy; Come quickly to me, O God! You are my help and my rescuer; O LORD, do not delay.” Psalms‬ ‭70:4-5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

David shows in this Psalm that the answer to feeling afflicted and needy is to rejoice and be glad in the Lord! We can magnify the problem or we can magnify God, and his advice to us here is, ‘Let God be magnified!’ How? By turning to the One who IS our rescuer and fixing our thoughts on Him! Whatever I am going through, a song of praise to God is evidence that I am not giving up, that I am not losing my faith at the time when I need God the most. My life, my calling, my hope won’t end here! Lord, I choose to seek You today as my first priority. As I look to Your salvation, may You become bigger and my anxieties become smaller. I choose to rejoice in You today. Amen 🙌🏼😊
