What I find so encouraging about this is who God chooses to first hear the news of Christ’s birth! Not to the king, the rulers or the seemingly important people, but to the most ordinary of them all..shepherds! To those of us who often feel 2nd class, overlooked and hidden from view, like shepherds in the fields at night, know this… God sees you, and He chooses you, and He is right there with you! The very ordinariness of your life is no barrier to God doing something extraordinary in your life too!
