When David was writing this, he was hiding out in caves, his life under threat from King Saul, and yet he knew that his hope was in God, his future secure! Steadfast means: firmly fixed in place, immoveable, firm in belief and determination. And it was this steadfast heart that gave him the ability to speak to his soul, his mind, will and emotions, and say wake up!! Lord, may my soul be fully alert to the reality of Your life giving presence today, Your love that reaches to the heavens and Your faithfulness that reaches to the skies! Thank You that no matter what restricts me or comes against me, I can trust in You, and as I fasten my stead to You, I will see Your plans come to pass in the land of the living! Amen 🙏🏼😊
