“We saw his majestic splendour with our own eyes when he received honour and glory from God the Father…Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets.” 2 Peter 1:16-17, 19 NLT
Peter is describing here the moment he saw Jesus transfigured on the mountain (Mark 9). It was an experience that reassured him of the authenticity of OT prophecy and that Jesus really was King! Can you remember the first time you had that revelation of who Jesus is? What experiences of God have given you confidence and grown you in faith? Let’s seek that fresh understanding and an up to date testimony this week, that we might be able to witness to the reality of God with us! Lord, show me Your glory!
