“Let my passion for life be restored, tasting joy in every breakthrough you bring to me. Hold me close to you with a willing spirit that obeys whatever you say.” Psalms 51:12 TPT
Even King David, a man after God’s heart, who had trusted so faithfully, slain giants and seen so many victories, even he became distracted, lost his way and started down a path that would lead to much pain and regret! And this was part of his prayer, ‘Restore to me the joy of my salvation!’ It was a cry out for a renewed passion, that would keep him close to God and pursuing the things of God. It is so my prayer too! It is so easy to lose focus, like David, and to follow my feelings rather than following Jesus. Let’s pray at the beginning of this week like Jesus taught us to pray, ‘Lead me not into temptation but deliver me from evil, for Yours is the Kingdom (that’s where we need to be looking) the power and the glory (that’s what we want to be experiencing) for ever and ever (that’s the perspective to see from). Amen (so be it Lord, I agree, make it happen) 🙌🏼😊
