“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” Ephesians 4:16 NLT

The word community is a joining of two words, common unity. It describes those with a shared interest, belief and culture. It comes from the Latin commūnitās, meaning, joint possession or use; a sense of shared ownership and responsibility. It might be true on one level that you don’t have to go to Church to be a Christian, but what sort of a Christian will I be, and how effective will my faith be without the community of the Church? This is where I get to encourage and be encourage, to motivate and be motivated, to pray for others and to be prayed for, to support and be supported, to learn, grow, and help others grow, as we each share what we have and work together for a greater Kingdom purpose! The sum is always greater than the individual parts, I need what other people bring and they need what I can bring. Lord, fit me in to Your body, the Church, that I might get to know You better and better. Show me what it means to play my part in community, understanding the value I bring, and the value I can show as an expression of Your love to this world. Amen ❤️🙏🏼
