“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;” Psalms‬ ‭92:12‬ ‭NIV

Cedar wood is exceptionally durable and immune to insect ravages. Palm trees have the ability to bend in storms and rarely become uprooted due to their root system that spreads and clusters. Here’s what one blog says that I was kindly pointed to yesterday. ‘Instead of feeling damaged every time something bad or disappointing happens in your life, let the winds bend and stretch you and watch yourself grow stronger. This new strength will allow you to be resilient and bounce back just like the palm tree does. When things get tough don’t give in or give up, give a good bend…and then get back on your feet.’ Lord, thank You that adversity needn’t be the enemy of my faith, not if it causes me to press in to You and press on with You! Thank you that as my roots grow deeper into You, as I learn to trust Your ways and Your plans, as I seek Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, that I too can flourish like a palm tree, and endure like a cedar of Lebanon. Amen 🏝🙏🏼
