“Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.” Luke 1:78-79 NLT
These are still the words of Zechariah, prophesying about the birth of Jesus. I love this description of how His presence brings light, and hope and direction, and peace. Like the sun rising, darkness has to flee! Lord thank You for both Your tenderness and Your power. I’m praying for all those sat in darkness, all those I know who are experiencing the shadow of death. Lord, bring Your light to bear, break the hold of darkness, expose and deal with what is hidden, have mercy, and bring Your healing and restoration to all those who are in need of real peace right now.
