It’s an amazing thought, or maybe a sobering one, that you and I might be the only message about Jesus that someone will read! I remember hearing one preacher say that it’s not just people who don’t know God who are lost, because a lot of Christians are also lost. They explained that if a letter is sent somewhere and it doesn’t arrive, you don’t say the destination got lost, you say the letter got lost in the post! Too many of us who say we are Christians have lost our sense of mission, forgotten that we are those who have been sent, commissioned to go, our message of God’s love, forgiveness, reconciliation and salvation not reaching those we’ve been sent to, our lives speaking something else altogether! Lord, save us from getting lost in transit, may the Good News that You have written into our lives be clearly read by all we come into contact with today, our words, actions, and attitude showing who we belong to! “Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.””
