“The Lord rules over the floodwaters. The Lord reigns as king forever. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.” Psalms 29:10-11 NLT
Someone shared these verses in our online prayer room this morning and they really struck a chord with me. How reassuring to be able to state in good faith that whatever floodwaters are threatening to overwhelm me right now, God is still God! All that we see now is just temporary compared to His advancing Kingdom that will last forever! The key though is to know Him as Lord, to surrender to His rule, that’s when we discover that we have all the strength we need and we can truly experience peace – which is not necessarily the absence of trouble, but the tangible presence of King Jesus. Do you know Him as your Lord and Saviour today? He’s just a prayer away! Thank You Lord, that my life, and my times, and my future is in Your hands so I don’t need to fear, though the floodwaters may come I trust in You, may I receive supernatural strength today and be blessed with real peace of mind and heart.
