“Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.” Colossians 4:5-6 NLT
I’ve been praying recently for more opportunities to talk about Jesus and to share my faith with those who are lost. As a Pastor It’s so easy to find yourself just around other believers, talking to the already convinced, but we need to get outside our Christian ghettos if we’re going to reach this world. Interestingly as I’ve prayed I’ve been challenged to contact people I haven’t seen for years, others have contacted me out of the blue, and even at church on a Sunday and to our midweek groups people are just turning up and asking questions. These verses are a reminder that people are always watching and listening to see what a difference our faith in Jesus really makes! Lord, keep me alert today to those divine appointments. Help me to live wisely, my life pointing to You, and my words gracious and attractive. Give me the courage and boldness to tell others about You as they get curious about the hope that I have in You, and may I experience the joy of leading people to You. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼
