The will of God? // 15-06-23

“Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Waking up to the sun shining this morning and a good day planned ahead I just felt incredibly thankful. But I know that it’s not always like that and others will be waking up today full of dread for exams or a tough work environment or the thought of a day stretching ahead with no plans! Whatever lies in front of us I’m reminded that circumstances are not the primary driver of whether we can be thankful or not, in fact God’s will is for us to be thankful whatever the circumstances! How is that even possible? Because despite what we don’t have we will always have His promises and the assurance of His presence and His power with us. Rejoicing and delighting in Jesus, persistently prayerful, and continually thankful reminds us of that and keeps our faith strong! Lord that’s what each one of us needs today, whether the day ahead looks exciting or boring, fruitful or fearful. Help me to keep my eyes and my heart set on You and may I experience the joy and the peace that only You can give. Thank You that I get to live this unique, once in a lifetime, never to be repeated, day. Open my eyes to appreciate every single minute of it. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼❤️
