The Bible has a purpose. It is not just there to inform us but to transform us! To be a Christian is to embark on this training in righteousness, to become more like Jesus, to grow in our knowledge, understanding and obedience of Him. If we want to be thoroughly equipped for all that God has planned for us, then we will need to be open to be taught, rebuked, corrected and trained as we read and study God’s Word! That’s what grows us in faith and effectiveness as His Kingdom ambassadors. Lord, I can’t say I like the thought of being rebuked or corrected, it is so much easier to just go my way, shut my Bible, and ignore Your Word when it becomes challenging. And yet I so want to experience life Your way Jesus, I don’t want to miss out on Your very best for me and my family, so rebuke me if necessary, I’ll do my best to listen, show me if I’m heading in a wrong direction, I’ll correct my course, and train me in righteousness so that I am thoroughly equipped to stay the path. Speak to me as I open my Bible today, lead me in Your truth, and use me for Your glory. Amen 👆🏼🏋🏼♀️🙏🏼
