“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 NLT
Nelson Mandela once said: “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” Courage is a choice that we can make over fear. Being courageous does not mean that we are not afraid, it just means we don’t allow fear to be the driver and dictator of our decisions! Lord, thank You that Your presence, Your strengthening, and Your holding up means I can be courageous! In the words of a song I wrote many years ago, ‘Pressing on past my feelings, through the storm of my emotions, You alone are my hiding place. Leaning on You my Saviour, holding on through the fire, You are strong, great and mighty to save! I will stand my ground, for You are with me, know the hope I’ve found will never leave me, You are all I need as I surrender, and fix my eyes in You, Jesus!’ Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼
