“For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.“ 1 Corinthians 4:20 NLT
This verse came into my mind this morning when I woke up and I’ve been mulling over what it means to live by God’s power? I mean, words can be powerful and God uses talking that’s for sure. Great preaching, praying out, sharing wisdom, and encouraging others are all based on talking and are so vital, let’s not stop with the talking. But as my Pastor says, ‘When all is said and done, there’s a lot more said than done!’ The talking has to be backed up by action to be truly effective! Jesus talked about the Kingdom of God but He also showed it in acts of great power: healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, feeding the thousands etc. It was living by God’s power that caused people to seek Him out and listen to His words, and ultimately it was living by God’s power that enabled Him to go to the cross and then to be raised back to life! Now that has got people’s attention for the last 2000 years! Lord, I want to talk the talk, but more than that I want to walk the walk. Help me to be an effective ambassador for Your Kingdom, leaning on Your supernatural wisdom, leading, and ability, trusting in You, bold in my talking to You and about You, but backed up in the way that I now walk it out with You. Fill me afresh today that I might know and experience and show what it means to live in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼
