“You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance. The grasslands of the wilderness become a lush pasture, and the hillsides blossom with joy.“ Psalms 65:11-12 NLT
I started this week with a warning from God, ‘Be vigilant’ and I’m ending it with this amazing promise! Whilst praying with my Pastor and his wife yesterday I had the words, ‘Crown the year’ come into my mind. I was certain I’d read them in the Bible somewhere but wasn’t sure of the context? We found them in Psalm 65, this great song of praise and hope in our God who provides! The whole Psalm is worth another read but verse 11 jumped out at me, ‘…even the hard pathways overflow with abundance!’ It’s certainly been a tough few months and even years for so many of us, but I am so encouraged by this ‘now’ word! To crown something is to bestow as a mark of honour or recompense, to give authority to; or to declare as a champion! Lord Jesus, thank You for Your Word that speaks life to us and for Your promise of great days ahead. May we truly see this year crowned with a bountiful harvest as we put our trust in You, understanding that in You we find everything we need. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼❤️
