“But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.”Exodus 4:10 NLT
When God called Moses to go set His people free, he protested, ‘Who am I do to this?’ Then he argued, ‘I won’t know what to say!’ Next it was, ‘They won’t believe me or listen to me!’ And then we come to this verse where he persists in telling God, ‘You’ve got the wrong person here, I’m not good with words, I can’t even speak properly!’ And yet God knew that Moses was exactly the right person for the job, and He continued to show Moses that He would be with Him in tangible, miraculous ways, He would provide for Him, He would give him the words to say. Moses just needed to believe God, to trust Him and to physically move in the direction God was leading! And so do we! Even when God’s Word is clear we have a tendency like Moses to question our capability, and most of us will never hear God in the spectacular way that Moses did, so it does take real trust to move when we sense Him calling us on! Lord, thank You that You know me better than I know myself. Help me to walk in agreement with You today in the certain knowledge that You ARE with me. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼❤️
