“Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven…” Matthew 6:9-10 AMPC
It’s so often the case that when I start praying I focus on ‘my’ will and what ‘I’ want God to do. But Jesus taught us to pray differently, to focus first on who God is, thinking about the honour and the power of His name, teaching us to pray for God’s will, and His Kingdom here to be the primary agenda of our conversations with Him and the first of our requests. Heavenly Father, at the start of this new week, help me to get my life in balance. Seeking Your Kingdom first and Your righteousness I pray that I might fulfil Your good, pleasing and perfect will in the choices I make, the people I meet and the things I say and do. As I live that out may it give a glimpse of Heaven to those around me who need to see You. Amen 🙏🏼
