“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10 NLT
Why might ‘doing what is good’ be so tiring I wonder? Why might we be tempted to give up? Usually, because we want instant results and it can be so discouraging when we keep on doing the right thing and don’t immediately see the fruit, or we keep on praying but don’t immediately get the answer we want! But that’s not how a harvest works, seed needs time to grow and it needs to be watered, and nurtured for it to eventually yield its fruit! So let’s not give up, and let’s not give up on people, let’s keep doing good (the right thing) at every opportunity, and especially nurturing those in our church family so that faith has the chance to flourish. Let’s decide that we are going to be present when the harvest comes and not miss out on the blessing that IS on its way! Lord, help me to be alert to every opportunity to do good today. Amen 🙏🏼😊
