“Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. For you, LORD, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before the LORD in the land of the living.” Psalms 116:7-9 NIV
Waking up is not always easy is it? How tempting to stay in the realm of unreality, in that dream state, rather than face the reality of the day ahead – but that’s not really living! Sometimes waking up is disorientating, it certainly was when I came out of surgery back in December, but waking up was part of my recovery, I could communicate with my recovery team, working with them to get what I needed to get up and get home! Waking up to God is acknowledging my condition, it’s being aware of His healing presence, it’s listening for His voice in order to walk that road of restoration with Him, on my journey home! Lord, keep me from hibernation, may I be wide awake today in the land of the living, walking and working with You, the One who truly gives me rest. Amen ☀️😊
