“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT
To motivate is to make someone feel determined to do something or enthusiastic about doing it. To encourage is to give support, to instil confidence and hope! It’s in conversation and connection with people who love and care for us that we get motivated and encouraged to believe for the best and to give our best, and it’s where we get to motivate and encourage others to acts of love and good deeds. That’s why fellowship, friendship, and family is so important, that’s why meeting together as church is so vital! It may not be easy right now but we can still gather virtually, so let’s not get out of the habit of meeting during this lockdown. We can still walk, we can call, text, Zoom and join in at church online! Lord, help me to be a motivator and an encourager today. Amen 🙌🏼💒
I’m on leave next week so won’t be sending out a morning text, but who would benefit from a text sent by you?
