“For everyone who keeps on asking [persistently], receives; and he who keeps on seeking [persistently], finds; and to him who keeps on knocking [persistently], the door will be opened.” Luke 11:10 AMP
Persistent is defined as: continuing to do something or to try to do something even though it is difficult or other people want you to stop because they think you are being annoying; it is refusing to relent or give up! What is it that makes you stop praying? Not getting the answer you want in the timescale you want? Last week we focused on continually giving thanks to God. This is what reminds us of what He has already done and to appreciate what we already have, but more than that it helps to keep us persistent in prayer for those things we haven’t seen yet, no matter what the circumstances are right now! The point of this verse is, don’t give up! Maybe you have got weary, disappointed, and you can sense that you’re losing faith, well see this as a warning that a heart arrest is imminent and do something about it, change your diet, if you know there are negative things clogging up your spiritual arteries then don’t ignore them, deal with them and get talking to God! There is a battle for our hearts, we have an enemy who wants to stop them dead, to stop us praying, to cut us off from our hope and our help, and to make us inactive as Christians. But thank God, we also have a Saviour who is able to bring those hearts back to life! Lord, as I lift my voice in thanks today, help me to know Your heart, reignite my prayer life, trusting in Your perfect plans with a determination to not stop praying until the door opens, I find Your way, and receive all that You have for me. Amen 💔❤️❤️🔥
