“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”” Luke 2:13-14 NKJV
When we pray for peace or think about peace what are we imagining it to look like? Problem free? Conflict free? Anxiety free? ‘All is calm, all is bright’? These are all human definitions of peace, but Advent reminds us that peace is a person, and it isn’t only found in the absence of trouble or in the absence of noise, real peace is found, regardless of circumstance, in the presence of Jesus! That’s what the angels were singing about that first Christmas, that peace had come to earth! The peace we need more than any other is peace (reconciliation) with God, and the One who was promised to make that happen had arrived – the Prince of Peace! No wonder they praised God 🙌🏼 “Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances]. The Lord be with you all.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16 AMP
Amen ❤️🙏🏼
