“Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them. Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.” Romans 12:14-18 NLT
With emotions running high around the world right now, and with a desperate need for de-escalation and for peace, it’s good to be reminded of God’s Word and God’s way for us. In the on-line prayer room this morning the word ‘Diffusion’ was prayed, which is defined as ‘the action of spreading the light from a light source evenly to reduce glare and harsh shadows.’ Lord, help us to spread Your light today, to push back the dark shadows of evil, and to show Your love and a different way to a world that is being stirred up with so much despair and hate! As Hamas call for a day of rage here’s my cry, “‘May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favour and give you his peace.’” Numbers 6:24-26 NLT Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼
